Thomas F. Hoering

Thomas F. Hoering graduated from St. John’s University cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy in 1979. While serving as the Director of Pharmacy at St. Vincent’s Midtown Hospital, he obtained his Master’s Degree in Institutional Management from St. John’s University in 1983. He thereafter graduated from St. John’s University cum laude with his Juris Doctor degree in 1993. He then became the Vice President of Legal Affairs of St. Vincent’s Midtown Hospital through 2008.

After the Hospital’s closing, Mr. Hoering became the Vice President of Legal Affairs for the not-for-profit entity, Somos Community Care, managing the legal affairs for this organization of over 2000 physicians and serving over 1 Million NYS Medicaid patients. He also currently serves as a panel member for New York State’s Surrogate Decision Making Committee.

Mr. Hoering brings to the firm his expertise and experience in the areas of not for profit healthcare corporate matters, regulatory affairs, risk management, medical malpractice, professional liability, employment law, OPMC matters and Corporate Compliance and HIPAA Privacy and Security issues.
